Hope

Today we met Roger who has lived and been part of a creative arts ministry team since 2005. He spoke about the different ministries and opportunities he has done serving in Tokyo. He also has a master of all trades with a bachelor of physics, masters of music at one of the elite music school in the US and currently doing a masters of theology studies- in which he can be an appointed pastor at his church one day. Roger is heavily involved in the music and arts department where is runs workshops to help connect local Christian Japanese artists into the community in Tokyo. He shared about the challenges and opportunities in Tokyo (probably too much to share here) but it showed me a glimpse of his day to day work. Being an ambassador in his workplace to train and give opportunities to artist and musician a chance to be recognised in a place where recognition is scarce.

The team spent the rest of the day exploring the streets of Japan and even went to a hedgehog cafe in celebration of a team member. Enjoy the snapshots below!
