Japan Vision Trip: Departing to Tokyo

Since I’ve just began my school holidays (yay!) I thought it would be a good chance to reflect upon the year and share my experience of what is to come in Japan. Now I finally have some time for myself I can articulate my thoughts to you guys, so that I don’t have to explain my trip 100 times. I hope to update daily from today to the end of my trip.

9th of December

At this moment I’m just waiting for my plane to depart which is scheduled to board in 30 minutes. I can finally sit down after a hectic day (and no it wasn’t a school day).

I just came from our Christmas staff party at rouse hill. The food and ambiance was amazing- the chats and constant banter was definitely a great way to end the year. Though the time in between was filled with inner stress trying to go from rouse hill to the airport (and I haven’t even packed!). It was at least a 1 hour drive from the restaurant back home. I was scrambling and packing my luggage last minute as usual. Then I needed to travel another hour to my parents to get driven to the airport. I was feeling quite anxious because this was going to be my first trip overseas by myself (til I arrive in Japan).

The reason why I wanted to share this because I wanted to point out how God was with me during this time of ‘stress’. As you know check in is always the most time spent travelling to the airport, I waited for almost 1.5hrs to get checked in. Despite the long queue to check in the procedure of being checked in and security check (where your passport is scanned) everything so far had been smooth- til this point (touch wood). It’s in those little unrecognised moments where I’m reminded that God does orchestrate every little detail just like how he knows every hair on each of our heads. I hope that this trip will not only rejuvenate my physical soul but also my spiritual soul as I witness God working at Japan. Continue to read and see what happens!
